Funded Childcare from 9 Months to Under 5 Years

At Little Stars Day Nursery, we understand that finding the right childcare is about balancing your child's development with your family's working life.

Eligible families can access funded childcare from 9 months old, continuing through the toddler and preschool years, subject to the current Government eligibility requirements.

Funded Childcare – 38 Weeks of the Year

Depending on your child's age and eligibility, families may be entitled to:

• Up to 15 funded hours per week
• Up to 30 funded hours per week for eligible working families
• Funded childcare is provided across 38 weeks of the academic year
• Funding starts from the relevant eligible term once your child's eligibility has been confirmed
• Funded places are subject to availability and the current Government and Local Authority funding rules

Funding from 9 Months

Eligible working parents can apply for funded childcare from when their child is 9 months old.

This means your child can benefit from funded early education and care before reaching their second or third birthday, helping families access quality early years provision while returning to or continuing in work.

⏰ Our Nursery Sessions

We offer a range of session patterns to help families find childcare that works around their circumstances, subject to availability:

8.00am – 2.00pm
9.00am – 3.00pm
8.00am – 5.00pm
1.00pm – 4.00pm

If you need a particular combination of days and hours, please speak directly with our Nursery Manager. We are happy to discuss how your funded entitlement may fit with the sessions we have available.

☀️ Open Approximately 51 Weeks a Year

Your funded entitlement covers 38 weeks of the academic year.

But Little Stars doesn't close for the remaining school holidays!

We are open for approximately 51 weeks of the year, giving working families the option of booking additional childcare during non-funded weeks.

Little Stars Holiday Clubs

During our non-funded weeks, we offer exciting Holiday Clubs for children attending Little Stars.

Expect:

• Creative arts and crafts
• Games and activities
• Outdoor play and adventures
• Special themed days
• Food and refreshments included
• Familiar staff and friends
• Lots of fun, laughter and new experiences

And, importantly for working parents, we aim to offer our holiday childcare at great-value package prices.

Childcare That Works Around Your Family

We know that every family is different.
